Recognizing the specialized language, numerical codes, and phrases used within far-right spaces is a crucial step in identifying early signs of online radicalization. Many of these terms are deliberately obscured or couched in internet meme culture to maintain plausible deniability while signaling extremist beliefs to others.

Code for Heil Hitler.
Accelerationism
The belief that society should be deliberately destabilised or pushed into chaos in order to trigger collapse and create a new political order. Often associated with extremist violence.
AFD
Short for "Alternative for Germany" (Alternative für Deutschland), a German political party often linked in media discussions to far-right nationalism.
Alpha / Beta
Deployed heavily within the manosphere (extreme anti-feminist spaces) to create a rigid human hierarchy. "Alphas" are characterized as dominant, hypermasculine leaders, while "betas" are framed as weak, submissive, and unsuccessful.
A broad online far-right movement combining nationalism, anti-globalism, internet meme culture, and anti-establishment politics.
Aryan
A term historically linked to racist pseudoscience and white supremacist ideology about a supposedly superior "Aryan race."
Based
Originally internet slang meaning confident or authentic, but often heavily used in extremist meme communities to praise controversial or offensive statements.
Black Pill
A term used heavily by incels (involuntary celibates) to describe a deeply fatalistic and nihilistic worldview. It posits that a person's social and romantic success is purely dictated by genetics, rendering personal effort entirely useless.
Blood and Soil
A Nazi slogan promoting ethnic nationalism and racial purity.
Boogaloo
Originally an internet joke about a second civil war, later adopted by extremist anti-government groups.
Breadcrumbing
The gradual introduction of extremist ideas through memes, jokes, or seemingly harmless content.
Chad
An exaggerated stereotype of an ultra-masculine man. Often appears in incel and far-right meme culture.
Clown World
A meme phrase suggesting society has become absurd, corrupt, or controlled by elites.
Cultural Marxism
A conspiracy theory claiming progressive social change is part of a deliberate plot to undermine Western civilisation.
Dark Enlightenment
An anti-democratic intellectual movement associated with authoritarian and reactionary politics.
Day of the Rope
A violent fantasy phrase from The Turner Diaries, referring to mass executions of perceived enemies.
Degenerate
A term frequently used by extremists to attack modern art, LGBTQ+ people, multiculturalism, or liberal values.
Echoes
A coded antisemitic reference often used online to imply Jewish influence.
Eco-fascism
The fusion of radical environmental concerns with white supremacy or extreme nativism.
Ethnonationalism / Ethnostate
The idea that citizenship, legal rights, and residence of a country or geographic region should be strictly restricted to a single specific racial or ethnic group.
European Replacement
A variant of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory.
Fashwave
Aesthetic internet content combining fascist imagery with synthwave-style visuals and music.
Fourteen Words
A white supremacist slogan: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”
Fren
Deliberately childish spelling of “friend,” commonly seen in far-right meme spaces.
Genocide Replacement Theory
Another variation of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory.
Globalist
Sometimes used neutrally, but also frequently used in conspiratorial or antisemitic ways.
Great Replacement
A conspiracy theory claiming white populations are being deliberately replaced through immigration and demographic change.
HH
Code for “Heil Hitler” because H is the eighth letter of the alphabet.
Incel
Short for “involuntary celibate.” Some online incel communities overlap with misogynistic or extremist ideologies.
JQ
Short for “Jewish Question,” an antisemitic phrase historically linked to Nazi ideology.
KKK
Short for the Ku Klux Klan.
Manosphere
A loose network of male-focused online communities that can overlap with misogynistic and extremist ideas.
National Socialist
The formal term for Nazism.
Neo-Nazi
A modern supporter of Nazi ideology.
Pill
Derived from The Matrix. Terms like red pill, black pill, and white pill describe ideological awakenings or belief systems.
QAnon
A conspiracy movement claiming a secret cabal controls world events.
RAHOWA
An abbreviation for "Racial Holy War," a term popularized by the white supremacist group "Creativity" to call for violent racial conflict.
Red Pill / Red-Pilled
Borrowed from popular fiction and weaponized across the far right and manosphere.
Siege
Refers to Siege, a collection of writings by extremist James Mason promoting violent accelerationism.
Stacy
The manosphere counter-archetype to a Chad; used to label hyper-feminine, physically attractive, but allegedly shallow or deceptive women.
The Turner Diaries
An influential extremist novel depicting violent revolution.
Triple Parentheses
Also called echoes. Used online to identify Jewish people in antisemitic contexts.
Volk
German word for “people,” often used in ethnonationalist rhetoric.
White Genocide
A conspiracy theory claiming white populations are under deliberate attack.
White Pill
A phrase suggesting optimism or hope after political pessimism.
White Supremacy
The belief that white people are inherently superior to other racial groups.
WPWW
Short for "White Pride World Wide."
ZOG
An acronym for "Zionist Occupied Government," a deeply rooted antisemitic conspiracy claim asserting that Western governments, financial institutions, and media organizations are secretly controlled by Jewish interests.
